Easiest Ever Sassy Meatballs

This recipe has been around for YEARS. There are a lot of "similar" ones out there, but this is the recipe I've used for Sassy Sauce for over 30 years. Using Simeks Original Meatballs makes the dish SUPER easy to prepare. I promise your guests will RAVE over these and ask for your recipe. Enjoy!

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: In Crockpot - 2 to 3 hours on High
  • Serving Size: 3-5 meatballs for person
  • Total Servings: Approximately 25

Ingredients

  • Two 2-lb bags of Simeks Original Meatballs
  • 32 ounces of Grape Jelly (Smuckers or Welches preferred)
  • 24 ounces of Chili Sauce (Heinz brand preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspons of dehydrated onions (not flakes or powder)

Directions

  1. Place meatballs in crockpot on HIGH setting.
  2. In saucepan on stove, melt together Jelly and Sauce. Stir in Soy Sauce and Onions.
  3. Pour over meatballs, stirring gently to coat.
  4. Cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours until VERY hot.
  5. Reduce Heat to "WARM" setting while serving your guests.

Comments

I mistakenly "saved" this, not realizing it was "submitting" it... Here's the directions: 1) Place meatballs in Crockpot on High 2) In saucepan on stove, melt the grape jelly, chili sauce together. Stir in the Soy Sauce and dehyd onion. 3) Pour over meatballs and stir gently to cover. Cook on High for 2-3 hours until meatballs are very hot, stirring once. 4) Reduce heat to "low" or "keep warm" while serving your guests.
