Hearty Meatball Sub Sandwiches

These meatball sandwiches are easy to make and even easier to enjoy. Great for parties or a family dinner, this recipe will fill you up in no time.

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 to 25 min. or until heated through
  • Serving Size: 6 meatballs
  • Total Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • Italian Style Meatballs
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt, or to taste
  • 1 (14 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Pour a bag of Simek's Meatballs into a baking dish and cook for 20-25 minutes
  3. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise, and remove some of the bread from the inside to make space for the meatballs
  4. Brush baguette with olive oil, and season with garlic powder and salt
  5. Slip the baguette into the oven during the last 5 minutes of the meatball's time, or until lightly toasted
  6. While the bread toasts, warm the spaghetti sauce in a saucepan over medium heat
  7. When the meatballs are done, use a slotted spoon to transfer them to the sauce
  8. Spoon onto the baguette and top with slices of provolone cheese
  9. Return to the oven for 2 to 3 minutes to melt the cheese
  10. Cool slightly, pass out servings, and enjoy!
